Periyar EVR started his movement for upholding the fact that "Every Human is equal". When a particular religion distinguished people based on caste, quoting the reasons from their holy books (for illtreating them), then only he started talking about "non-existence of God".
So, if any person questions why DK is supporting for any person to become a priest in a temple, that conveys that the person who is asking is not able to understand the background of DK or is not willing to understand it.

BTW, I still don't understand the point you mentioned about General Secretary post in DMK. Whether it is DMK or PMK or Congress - are we not familiar that they don't have democracy within the party?
This is my opinion: Like in some developed countries - democracy will flourish only if there is democracy within the political parties. India and Tamilnadu is far away from this. Like caste system, it may take several years to achieve 'true democracy' within a party and then in a country.
